In Topic: What kind of work do you do?

I am a postdoctoral fellow currently working at Vanderbilt University studying bacterial toxins from the bacteria C. difficile (its a nasty bacteria, just ask Valk).  Most of the work is structural biology with a focus on Xray crystallography.  Hopefully in about 9 months I will be up in Boston working at Brandeis University studying Rhodopsin, a light receptor in the eye.  I have no office and there are no windows near my desk and bench.

Chilitown Pope is a reference to the simpsons episode "The Mysterious Voyage of Homer"

the Ph.D. was added when I finished my Ph.D.

That hulk picture doesn't make sense.  The toilet plumbing isn't hooked up and who puts tile around a toilet on top of other tile that was already there.  Also who's toilet is in the middle of the bathroom?  I can only suspend disbelief for so long.
